Demon Disco

Owned and run by myself, Martin Best, and my partner Kim Rodgers, the disco is a full-time professional operation based in the English Riviera town of Torquay, South Devon.

Within easy reach of the A** and M* corridors we enjoy excellent access throughout Devon, Cornwall, Somerset, and Dorset. Our reputation for reliable, quality entertainment has taken us from village halls to stately homes for every conceivable occasion throughout the South West.

We tailor every appearance to the specific requirements of our clients and their guests. To achieve this we have a colossal music catalogue spanning from the ****'s to the latest DJ only pre-releases stored on the digital media of Compact Disc, Mini Disc, and MP*.

By using different digital media, we have 'hands on' mixing and are not wholly reliant on any one playing system eliminating the fear of crashed laptops or scratched vinyl. We use versatile RAMSA and Carlsbro speaker systems for the highest quality sound reproduction which can be adapted for any venue. Our modern lightshow is composed entirely of Acme 'intelligent' DMX controlled effects featuring the latest I-Solution products with stunning results.

Our intention is to play the maximum amount of music without unnecessary interruption during a function. However, we are happy to make important announcements and dedications as required.

Working from extensive client supplied playlists has become more popular recently - with varying degrees of success. For this to work well, the tastes of all guests need to be considered, avoiding over-emphasis on one particular style of music e.g. Punk Rock or Heavy Metal. We actively encourage client involvement at every stage, and are happy to meet informally and discuss your needs.

With regard to pricing, we know through continual market research that we offer excellent value for money. Naturally, we suggest that potential clients specify dates and times when enquiring to establish availability and receive an accurate quotation.

Our appearances are covered by full Public Liability Insurance, and all equipment is regularly maintained and Portable Appliance Test (PAT) certified.
