Hi-Society

Gavin Jones (Leader & Vocals)
Gavin served his apprenticeship in the music business through Rock & Pop Bands of the late **'s to performing cabaret in the clubs of the Midlands and the North during the early **'s. He moved to Brighton in the mid **'s to continue his singing career working professionally with a large dance band covering everything from Frank Sinatra to the latest hits of the day. In the late ****'s Gavin formed Hi-Society which he took on the road and the band has been going from strength to strength ever since. As well as his vocal talents he is an accomplished leader and presenter of the band and liaises closely with organisers of events to ensure the music is perfect and the occasion a great success.

Rebecca Day (Vocals)
Rebecca's singing career has spanned all styles of music from Jazz to Pop, from Ella Fitzgerald to Tina Turner. From her first gig at the age of ** she has travelled the world as a singer aboard Cruise Ships such as the QE* and the P&O cruise liners. In the late **'s and early **'s she regularly broadcast on BBC Radio * and has toured with some of the top U.K. bands. She has been with Hi-Society since **** and together with Gavin Jones with their great vocal harmony, wide repertoire and sense of fun, has made the band the success it is today.

Tim Sagar (Keyboards)
Tim began his musical career in the Midlands playing with some of the top live bands, regular theatre work including the premieres of Chess and **nd Street and has backed some of the best known cabaret artistes. He does much work in Sussex as a Musical Director and is also in great demand as an accompanist. Tim is the newest member of Hi-Society having joined them in ****. His talent and versatility for playing everything from Classical to Pop & Rock music together with his ability to sing solo and harmonise has brought a great new sound and dimension to the band.

Dave Edwards (Bass Guitar)
Dave plays and sings the low notes! He is well known on the music scene as being one of the finest bass players in the South. He has a wealth of experience playing throughout the country with top bands, recording sessions, West End shows and backing well-known cabaret artistes such as Bruce Forsyth, Roy Castle, Brotherhood of Man and many others. Dave joined Hi-Society in **** and as well as playing bass and singing harmony, does many of the band's musical arrangements.

Kevin Charles (Drums)
Kevin, who hails from Jersey in the Channel Islands, came to the U.K. in **** to study music at Chichester College. His ability to drive a band along and his superb time keeping, whether it be Big Band Jazz or Pop, has made him one of the most sought after drummers in the area from big and small bands alike. Kevin joined Hi-Society in **** and is the great driving force behind the band, his tempos and rhythms are second to none making Hi-Society a fantastic band to listen and dance to.

Hi-Society are experienced West Sussex professional musicians which together with their versatility and superb vocal harmony makes them one of the most popular function bands in Worthing.
